Ifrik handles your personal data with the care a financial service requires. This page explains which data is used, why and how.
Data controller
KOUESSI, a company being incorporated, which carries the Ifrik project. Contact: contact@kouessi.com.
Data collected
- Identity and contact: username, email address, country of residence, language.
- Identity verification: name, date and place of birth, nationality, phone, address, document type, number and expiry date, national identifier, photos of the document and proof of address.
- Biometric data: selfie, images and a short liveness video. The comparison between your face and the ID photo is computed on your device; only its result is sent to us. These data are only used to verify your identity.
- Know your customer: employment, income and wealth bands, source of funds and any supporting documents, expected amounts, purpose of the account, declarations on politically exposed persons and tax residence.
- Passkeys: only the public key is stored; your fingerprint or face never leaves your device.
- Transactions: orders, executions, positions, deposits, withdrawals, conversions, payment details you provide for withdrawals.
- Security: IP addresses and device type at sign-in, log of sensitive actions.
Purposes and legal bases
- Performing the contract: keeping your account, transmitting your orders, managing your funds, producing your statements.
- Meeting our legal obligations: identity verification, anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing, keeping records of transactions.
- Protecting your account: detecting unusual sign-ins, preventing fraud.
Recipients
Your data is never sold. It is only shared with the exchange members and depositories that execute and hold your securities, the payment providers that process your deposits and withdrawals, our hosting provider and email service, and authorities when required by law.
Security
Passwords are stored hashed. ID documents and their number are encrypted upon receipt and only accessed for verification, each access being logged. Communications with the platform are encrypted (HTTPS).
Retention
Account, identity and transaction data are kept throughout the relationship and then for the period required by anti-money laundering obligations, that is ten years after the end of the relationship, or longer where a country's law requires. Sign-in logs are kept for one year.
Your rights
You can access your data and download it from your account (Account section), have it corrected, object to certain processing or request its restriction, within the limits of legal retention obligations. Write to contact@kouessi.com. You may also contact the competent data protection authority.

Ifrik uses no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics. Only your session and chosen language are stored in your browser.
